Why is poetry always sad?
Just because it’s happy, doesn’t make it bad!
Why always write about death and pain
When you could write about flowers, or dancing in the rain?
Often I don’t understand why some even try,
To make their words awful, and make people cry.
Life is fabulous; it’s meant purely for fun,
So write about music, or playing in the sun.
Tragic writers have their spot,
But are they the only ones? I think not!
Instead of only writing to relieve your aggression,
Write when you’re cheerful, and prevent other’s depression.
Sad poetry definitely has its place,
But

Five months since you died,
Is it bad that it’s been weeks since I’ve cried?
My family is all still full to the brim with sorrow,
When I’m going through each day happy, and excited for tomorrow.
Does that mean I miss you less?
All of them would probably say yes.
But in fact, the truth is that I miss you more
Than I’ve ever missed anyone ever before.
I just know how to deal with grief.
Live each day happily; that’s my belief.
I’m not going to make myself cry over something I can't change,
Even if everyone sees me as heartless, or even strange.

Her blood stained her paper white skin.
The red was vibrant on her body,
As it leaked from her wounds.
The longer time went,
The paler she got.
Eventually, she weakened,
And soon, she fell,
Her body was sprawled along the kitchen tile,
And her blood stained the floor.

How are you? What's your weekend looking like? Mine's actually going to be a quiet one. I have to finish up this script for IB Theater, which I'll post here on DA because PKoch wanted it to be up someplace where it says © to somebody involved in the project, and apply for some scholarships. I also might post some poetry because I only have one poem up, and it's the Frogs.
Anyhoo, I had Runza for dinner, and we took the dogs to PetSMART for no reason. What all have you been doing since the Scribe meeting?
